Master for iTunes (MFIT)

We are certified by Apple as an approved Mastering House for Mastered for iTunes. If you want to distribute through iTunes, you want your release to be badged as “Mastered for iTunes”. Your release will be much higher quality and promoted as such by iTunes. Apple’s iTune Pro AAC encoder uses 24 bit files which produces a much better sounding AAC file (iTunes file) than from a standard CD file (16 bit 44.1 kHz). Apple accepts both 44.1/24bit and 96k/24bit formats, Apple will sample rate convert (SRC) 96k files to 44.1 first, and then convert to AAC.  We preferred to use Weiss Saracon for all SRC rather than leaving it up to Apple and provide them with 44.1/24bit. You must submit your music after we master it, though a distributor setup for Mastered for iTunes, such as Tunecore or a major label. Ask us and we can help steer you through the right channels.

Master for MP3

Much like MFIT, your release will have a separate “Master for MP3” Mp3 files in both 320 and 128 bit rates created using separate EQ and level designed for the MP3 encoding.
